Russia may launch a powerful strike on Ukraine on November 20: US Embassy in Kyiv issued a warning, Center for Combating Disinformation responded

Russia may launch a powerful strike on Ukraine on November 20

The US Embassy in Kyiv has warned of the possibility of a powerful missile strike on Ukraine. The diplomatic mission noted that it had received specific information about a potential major air attack on November 20.

This is a potential danger to all regions of Ukraine. This is stated in a statement on the website of the US Embassy in Kyiv.

The embassy said it had received "specific information about a potential significant air attack on November 20." As a precautionary measure, the embassy will be closed. The diplomatic agency also recommends that US citizens be prepared to take shelter immediately in case of an air raid alert.

The department advises to follow the updates in local media, to identify shelter locations in advance and to follow the instructions of Ukrainian officials and rescuers in case of an emergency.

The Spanish news agency EFE said that the Spanish Embassy in Ukraine would also close on November 20 due to the threat of missile attacks. The diplomatic mission said it would not provide services due to the "increased risk of air attacks across Ukraine." In an email sent to Spaniards living in the country, the embassy recommends that they "take extreme precautions, follow all recommendations of local authorities and always have a shelter."

OBOZ.UA's sources in the Defense Forces commented on the US Embassy's information about the likelihood of a missile strike. Ukrainian servicemen do not expect more shelling than the previous massive attack, as the enemy has technical limitations.

In addition, the Defense Forces explained that the US Embassy's message is a specific reaction of Western partners to the intimidation of Russian propaganda in response to President Joe Biden's decision to allow Ukraine to fire missiles at Russian territory.

Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council, кesponded to the US Embassy's warning. He noted that the Russians had been stockpiling missiles for a series of attacks on Ukraine for months. This includes Kh-101 missiles, which they continue to produce, as well as Kalibr and ballistic missiles.

"Russia has aviation and missile stocks ready for shelling at strategic aviation airfields and warehouses. Also ships. This has been reported earlier. Accordingly, we need to understand this and always keep it in mind, structures need to think about security measures, people need to respond to alarms," Kovalenko said.

The Telegram channel Monitor reported that a certain risk of missile use remains every day, so airborne alarms must be responded to constantly.

It is also noted that there are indeed warnings about the likelihood of a missile strike. The monitoring channel suggested that this may be due to the authorization of the use of ATACMS missiles on the territory of the Russian Federation.

As a reminder, on the morning of November 20, Russia launched an air attack on Kyiv. Loud explosions were heard in the capital, and air defense forces were operating.

Earlier it was reported that the Russian occupation forces attacked Hlukhiv in Sumy region with Shaheds on the evening of November 18, and explosions were heard in the city. Putin's terrorists hit a high-rise building with drones. The attack killed 12 people and injured at least 13 others.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, President Volodymyr Zelensky reacted to another Russian terrorist attack against Ukrainian civilians. The head of state stressed that the attack on the dormitory in Hlukhiv only confirms the true intentions of dictator Vladimir Putin.
