Russia lost 17,000 troops in the war against Ukraine in May and broke several "records": figures announced

Figures of Russian losses in May 2023 were announced

In May 2023, the Russian occupation army lost about 17,410 soldiers on the Ukrainian front and broke several "records" for the amount of lost equipment. In the last month of spring, the AFU deprived the enemy of approximately 2,200 armored vehicles, tanks, artillery, air defense systems, missiles and drones.

These calculations were provided by blogger Roman Shrike in his Telegram channel. According to him, these are statistics russian-casualties.in.ua based on the data of the General Staff of the AFU (to see the photo, scroll to the end of the news).

The author of the post pointed out that Russian losses in equipment for May 2023 are:

- 104 tanks;

- 286 combat armored vehicles;

- 553 artillery systems;

- 31 MLRS;

- 21 means of air defense;

- 5 aircraft;

- 4 helicopters;

- 655 UAVS;

- 175 cruise missiles;

- 394 units of vehicles and tankers;

- 99 units of special equipment.

The blogger noted that in May AFU soldiers set a monthly record for the destruction of Russian artillery systems, UAVs and special equipment. In second place are enemy air defenses and cruise missiles.

"Most impressive, of course, is the rate of destruction of artillery systems," Shrike stressed.

As reported by OBOZREVATEL, according to the General Staff of the AFU, on the last day of May 2023, the defenders of Ukraine eliminated 460 mercenaries of the Russian army at the front. They also destroyed 42 units of enemy equipment, including 14 artillery systems and seven drones.
