On the night of November 16, Russia attacked Ukraine again with S-300 missiles and kamikaze drones. The enemy launched 83 Shaheds and unidentified drones at Ukrainian cities and villages.
Air defense forces destroyed 53 Russian kamikaze drones, and another three dozen were lost locally. This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
On the night of November 16, Russians attacked Kharkiv region with an S-300 anti-aircraft guided missile. They also attacked a number of Ukrainian regions with 83 Shahed attack UAVs and unidentified drones. The invaders began launching them at 20:30 on November 15 from the areas of the Russian cities of Kursk, Orel, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.
As of 08.30 on November 16, 53 enemy UAVs were confirmed to have been shot down in Cherkasy, Odesa, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Sumy, Mykolaiv, Kirovohrad, Poltava, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv and Khmelnytskyi regions.
As a result of active counteraction by the Defense Forces, 30 enemy UAVs were lost in different regions of Ukraine.
In particular, Russian "Shaheds" attacked Zaporizhzhia and Zaporizhzhia district at night. According to Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, the attack damaged a critical infrastructure facility.
"Preliminary, there were no casualties. The blast wave damaged commercial premises and the road surface. Other damages are being assessed," he said.
In the Cherkasy region, Ukrainian troops destroyed 11 Russian "Shaheds" during a 5-hour night air raid.
"There are no reports of injuries or destruction of infrastructure to the emergency services," said Ihor Taburets, head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration.
As a reminder, at night the occupants attacked Kherson with a drone. As a result of the attack, a man was injured and sustained a mine-blast injury.
The invaders also shelled Kherson in the afternoon of November 15. Korabelny district and the city center came under enemy fire. At least two people were wounded.
