Russia hits a private house in Kharkiv with ballistic missiles, damages high-rise buildings: people injured

On the evening of Friday, November 1, the Russian army attacked Kharkiv with ballistic missiles, and an explosion was heard in the city around 4 p.m. A private residential building was hit, and windows in neighboring high-rise buildings were smashed. Two women aged 71 and 60 were injured.

The head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, and the mayor of Kharkiv, Ihor Terekhov, spoke about the consequences of the attack. "The plane hit a private residential building, and multi-story buildings were also damaged," Syniehubov said.

According to Terekhov, windows were smashed in neighboring high-rise buildings near the hit site. Experts are inspecting the buildings for possible hidden damage.

All relevant utilities and volunteers are working at the site, the mayor said.

"All necessary assistance to the residents of the buildings near the epicenter of the explosion is being provided and will be provided in full. Once again, I urge all Kharkiv residents to listen to air raid warnings and be careful," Terekhov said in a statement.

A 71-year-old and a 60-year-old woman suffered an acute stress reaction as a result of the strike on Kharkiv, Oleh Syniehubov later reported.

"According to preliminary data from the military, the enemy hit with a ballistic missile, the type is still being established. One missile hit a residential building. Dozens of private and apartment buildings were damaged," he said.

The head of the Kharkiv region added that the rapid response team is already inspecting the buildings for prompt repairs.

According to the preliminary version, the enemy used an Iskander-M ballistic missile, two private houses were destroyed at the site of the hit, and the building of a government agency was damaged, Dmytro Chubenko, a spokesman for the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, told Suspilne.

According to Suspilne, hundreds of windows in the houses were damaged, and the place of the explosion was a densely populated residential area.
