Russia attacks Ukraine with 33 Shaheds at night: air defense forces shoot down 28 drones

On the night of Thursday, October 12, the defenders of Ukrainian skies neutralized 28 Shahed-131/136 kamikaze drones used by Russian troops to attack the country. In total, the enemy launched 33 UAVs.
"The enemy directed the Shaheds to the southern and eastern regions, in particular Odesa and Kharkiv regions, where there were arrivals. The details of the repulsion of this air attack were shared by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
It is noted that the occupiers launched drones from the northern and southern directions. In particular, from the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation and from Cape Chauda in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
In total, 33 Shaheds were launched in different directions. In order to repel the attack, air defense was deployed in at least six regions of Ukraine.
Fighter aircraft, anti-aircraft missile troops, mobile fire groups, and electronic warfare units were engaged in drone attacks.
"In total, last night, the Air Force, in cooperation with the air defense of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, destroyed 28 Shahed-131/136. Let's hold the sky! Together - to victory!" the Air Force added.
Last night, Russian attack UAVs hit the port infrastructure of Odesa region. In Izmail district, warehouse buildings and private houses were damaged, and an elderly woman was injured.
As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, the commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykola Oleshchuk showed how anti-aircraft missile units shot down Shakheds in Odesa and Mykolaiv regions on the night of October 10. In total, 27 out of 36 enemy drones were destroyed.
