On the night of September 30, the aggressor country Russia launched another massive attack on Ukraine, using Shahed kamikaze drones. Air raid alert was declared in several regions, and air defense systems worked to target enemy drones.

An infrastructure facility in the Vinnytsia region was attacked and a fire started. This was reported on the official Facebook page of the Kalynivka City Council. According to preliminary reports, there were no casualties.

"Unfortunately, the city was hit. Please remain calm. Everyone is in shelters until the alarm is over. The mayor is at the scene. Do not comment on social media or post photos," the statement said.

The Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration reported that the enemy was conducting air strikes. "The defense forces and all services of the region are working," said the head of the regional military administration Serhiy Borzov.

Later he said that there the enemy hit an infrastructure facility in the region.

The Kalynivka City Council noted that an enemy drone hit was recorded on the territory of the community, but there is no urgent need to evacuate, except for the immediate area of the strike.

They added that the liquidation of the consequences of the enemy hits is ongoing, and emergency workers are extinguishing the fire at the site of the attack.

Monitoring channels also reported on the work of air defense forces in Mykolaiv, Odesa, and Cherkasy regions.

In the morning, Natalia Humeniuk, a spokeswoman for the Southern Defense Forces, said during in a TV marathon that the enemy launched at least 20 attack drones. They were flying from the eastern coast of the Azov Sea and from Cape Chauda in Crimea.

"The drones were launched to the south of the Odesa region, again flying along difficult routes. Among other things, by maneuvering, they tried to bypass the air defense system in order to enter not only the southern but also the central regions of Ukraine," Humeniuk said.  She added that the consequences of the attack are being clarified.

The Ukrainian Navy said that its units had destroyed two drones in the Odesa region.

"During a night attack by the occupiers on the Odesa region, the forces and means of the Ukrainian Navy shot down two kamikaze drones. The Navy together with their comrades-in-arms continue to defend Ukraine from the insidious enemy!" the statement reads.
