Russia attacked Ukraine with several types of missiles and Shahed drones, targeting energy sector again. All the details

On the night of Saturday, June 22, a group of Tu-95MS strategic bombers took off from Russia, launching X-101/X-555 cruise missiles at Ukraine. As of 3:30 a.m., air raid alert was announced in all regions of the country.

This was announced on the official Telegram channel of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to the Air Force, four Tu-95MS aircraft took off from the Olenya airfield in the Murmansk region of Russia.

At 2:20 a.m., the Monitor channel reported that X-101/55 missiles were launched from Tu-95s from the Saratov region of the Russian Federation. At this time, the attack on Ukraine with the use of Shahed-136 kamikaze drones continued.

The situation as of 3:40:

- A group of missiles in Chernihiv region headed southwest. Targeting Chernihiv and Kyiv.

- Another group of missiles in the south near Odesa region. Heading northwest. According to monitoring channels, these are Kalibr cruise missiles.

- UAVs in Rivne region, northeast and southwest of the regional center. They are headed for Lutsk.

Updated information from the Air Force as of 3:50:

- A group of missiles in the north were moving through Kyiv region towards Zhytomyr region on a westerly course.

- A group of missiles in the south was heading northwest along Odesa and Mykolaiv regions in the direction of Vinnytsia region.

- Missiles in the south are headed for Uman.

- One drone in the direction of Lutsk.

As of 4:20 a.m., the Air Force spotted a missile in Ternopil region heading southwest; a group of missiles in Khmelnytskyi region heading southwest; and missiles in Khmelnytskyi region heading north.

Later, a missile was also reported heading towards Lutsk.

The mayor of Ivano-Frankivsk, Ruslan Martsinkiv, reported that air defense was working in the region. Monitoring channels also reported air defense activity in Lutsk and Lviv region.

At 05:06, the Air Force announced the threat was over.

According to monitoring channels, during the night attack, Russian terrorists used:

- X-101/55 cruise missiles launched from 4 Tu-95s from the Saratov region, Russia

- Presumably Kalibr cruise missiles launched from the Black Sea

- Presumably guided missiles from the Sea of Azov

- Strike UAVs

Some of the X-101/55 and Zm14 missiles covered the longest distance of about 1800 km, from Saratov region of the Russian Federation to the Ivano-Frankivsk region, in 2 hours.

Lutsk, some facilities in Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Kyiv, and Vinnytsia regions were under attack. The missile attack lasted 1 hour and 3 minutes, and the drone attack lasted 5 hours and 30 minutes.

The head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, Maksym Kozytskyi, said on Telegram that the occupiers had launched a missile attack on a critical energy infrastructure facility in the region.

"A fire broke out. Firefighters are already working at the scene. As of this hour, there has been no information about the victims. The extent of the damage will be reported later," the official said.

Yuriy Pohulyayko, head of the Volyn Regional Military District, said that at dawn there were enemy targets in the airspace of the region, and air defense systems were engaged. Currently, the consequences of the falling debris are being eliminated.

"Fortunately, there are no casualties. All relevant services are on the ground and doing their job," the statement said.

The mayor of Ivano-Frankivsk, Ruslan Martsinkiv, said that the Russian attack damaged a house and a kindergarten in the city: windows were smashed.

"According to preliminary information, everyone is alive and well. The emergency crew will promptly start covering the windows in the homes of the residents of Ivano-Frankivsk," the mayor said.

The Ministry of Energy reported that the occupants attacked the transmission system operator's facilities in the southern and western regions.

"Unfortunately, two power engineers were injured at one of the facilities as a result of shelling. They were taken to the hospital. There is some damaged equipment," the statement said.

In addition, it is noted that during the shelling, an overhead power line in the eastern region was disconnected, which led to a decrease in the load at the generating facility. The consequences are being clarified.

Svitlana Onyshchuk, head of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Military Administration, said that civilian infrastructure was targeted by the enemy in the Carpathian region.

"There was a hit that partially destroyed several buildings and other buildings of one of the educational institutions. Neighboring houses were also affected. There is also damage to residential buildings in one of the communities in the region," the official said, adding that no information on casualties has been received so far.

"As a result, a 20-square-meter crater with a fire center was formed, which was extinguished. One of the educational buildings was partially destroyed, while others were damaged. A car was also damaged," the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported.

On Telegram, Ukrenergo clarified that the Russian attack damaged equipment at facilities in Zaporizhzhia and Lviv regions. Inspection and elimination of the consequences are underway.

Two fires broke out in Volyn during enemy shelling, the Volyn State Emergency Service reports. An outbuilding and a residential building were on fire in Lutsk district.

"There were no casualties, fire at a nearby residential building was extinguished," the report said.
