Russia attacked Ukraine at night: air defense forces shot down 20 Iranian kamikaze drones and two "Kalibr" missiles
Ukrainian air defenses repelled a massive Russian attack with "Shahed" kamikaze drones and cruise missiles on the night of Thursday, July 13. Twenty kamikaze UAVs and two "Kalibr" missiles were shot down in the skies over different regions.
About a dozen attack UAVs were neutralized around Kyiv, where the falling debris caused damage and casualties, one person died. Air Forces of the AFU reported on the work of air defense.
It is noted that the Russian occupiers attacked Ukraine with 20 Iranian-made Shahed-136/131 kamikaze drones from the northeast (Kursk) and southeast (Primorsko-Akhtarskoe) directions.
In addition, the enemy used two "Kalibr" cruise missiles from the Black Sea and one "Iskander-M" ballistic missile (Dzhankoy, Crimea).
"As a result of combat work, all 20 attack drones were destroyed, mainly in the Kyiv region. Also, two "Kalibr" cruise missiles were destroyed in different directions." It added that to repel the enemy attack anti-aircraft missile units, fighter aviation, mobile fire groups of the Air Force and other components of the Ukrainian Air Defense Forces are constantly involved.
Over the current and past 24 hours, the Air Force aviation carried out more than 15 group air strikes against the Russian occupiers.

As reported by OBOZREVATEL, the previous night, July 12, Russian troops launched 15 kamikaze drones across Ukraine. The defenders of the sky destroyed 11 targets.
