"Ready to engage in combat": Pentagon reports on the activity of DPRK military in Kursk region

Deputy Press Secretary at the Department of Defense Sabrina Singh

The DPRK military continues to be present in Russian Kursk region. They have not yet taken direct part in hostilities against Ukraine.

This information was provided by Deputy Press Secretary at the Department of Defense Sabrina Singh during a briefing at the Pentagon, according to media reports. She noted that the Koreans are ready to engage in combat at any time.

"DPRK troops are still in that Kursk Oblast," the US Defense Department spokeswoman said.

She pointed out that the US side has not yet recorded the participation of North Korean soldiers in hostilities.

Earlier, it was reported that, our defenders have already spotted DPRK servicemen as part of the Russian army in the Kharkiv sector. The North Koreans are dividing into units, gathering more and more manpower on the front line.

As reported, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un made another absurd statement, claiming that it was Russia that allegedly became a victim of aggression and needs to be protected from attacks by Ukrainians and their allies. During a meeting with Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov, Kim said that Ukraine's use of long-range weapons was, in his words, the result of direct US military intervention.
