Prigozhin complained that the Russian Ministry of Defence had mined the ways out of Bakhmut

Prigozhin complained that the Russian Ministry of Defence had mined the ways for Wagner mercenaries to leave Bakhmut

The leader of the Wagner terrorist PMC, Yevhen Prygozhyn, said that the escape routes from Bakhmut for his mercenaries were mined. According to him, this is the work of representatives of the Russian Ministry of Defence.

This was reported by the Russian media. Russia is currently investigating the case.

"There are currently no provocations against us by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Surprises were waiting for us on the other side. Shortly before we left, we detected suspicious activity on the routes of our advance. We called the law enforcement agencies and found about a dozen places where dozens of explosive devices ranging from hundreds of anti-tank mines to tonnes of plastid were placed. All of this was at the management. An investigation is underway," he said.

According to Prigozhin, these shells were planted by representatives of the Russian Ministry of Defence.

"When asked why they were doing it, they pointed a finger upwards. There was no need to lay these charges to deter the enemy because they are in the rear zone. Therefore, it can be assumed that they wanted to meet the Wagner PMC forces with these charges," the Wagner leader said.

As a reminder, NSDC Secretary Danilov confirmed that some of the Wagner mercenaries were retreating from Bakhmut. At the same time, he noted that Prigozhin's troops were not withdrawing at all, but were regrouping in three other places.

Earlier, OBOZREVATEL reported that, according to the authoritative Western press, the Russian army has actually reached a dead end in its attempts to lay siege to Bakhmut and will soon completely lose the initiative in the fighting. While the occupiers were trying to take control of the last neighbourhoods of the city, the fighting had significantly moved into the territory of the Russian Federation itself.
