Germany and Poland have agreed to work together to increase military assistance to Ukraine. Following intergovernmental consultations in Warsaw, the "Polish-German Action Plan" was adopted.

In particular, the two countries will participate in the creation of a joint NATO-Ukraine Center for Analysis, Training, and Education in Bydgoszcz. Germany and Poland will also cooperate in international coalitions to support Ukraine, Ukrinform reports.

"We will look for opportunities for cooperation in every reasonable case and in every area of support offered, including arms supplies, training, and maintenance," the publication quotes the document as saying.

It emphasizes that NATO will also support Ukraine in implementing the necessary reforms on its path to future membership in the Alliance.

Separately, the parties agreed to cooperate at the governmental level to provide military support to Ukraine in the maintenance and repair of Leopard 2 tanks, which were transferred to Ukraine.

"Poland and Germany will also strive to optimize the repair and maintenance of Leopard 2 tanks in the context of Ukraine's needs arising from Russia's lawless war of aggression," the document says.

Also, Poland and Germany stand for strict compliance with sanctions against Russia "and joint preparation of proposals for new restrictive measures until Russia stops its aggression against Ukraine."

In addition, both countries are "determined" to use profits from Russian assets abroad to further support Ukraine.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, NATO allies agreed to finance military assistance to Ukraine of 40 billion euros in 2025. The leaders of the Alliance member states will sign the relevant document at the summit to be held next week in Washington.

It should also be noted that Ukrainian Defense Minister Umerov met with Pentagon Secretary Lloyd Austin in Washington, DC. During the meeting, the US Secretary announced a new large package of US assistance worth more than $2.3 billion.
