Pokrovsk and Kurakhove sectors remain the hottest: General Staff reports on the situation at the front

The Russian terrorist army continues its offensive in various sectors in an attempt to break through the Ukrainian army's defense. Over the course of September 14, 164 combat engagements were registered at the frontline.

The most active hostilities continue in the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove sectors. This is stated in the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of the morning of September 15.

During the day, the Russians launched three missiles at the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements, as well as 63 air strikes, dropping 128 guided bombs. In addition, the occupiers made 4657 attacks, including 131 from multiple launch rocket systems.

The areas of Khotyn, Obody, Iskryskivka, Pavlivka, Bilopillia, Kindrativka, Novoivanivka, Velyka Cherneshchyna, Katerynivka, Yunakivka, and Pervomaiske in Sumy region; Novoosynove, Kivsharivka, and Berestove in Kharkiv region; Druzhba, Kostiantynivka, Katerynivka, Kleban-Byk, Nelipivka, Oleksandropil, Myrnohrad, Antonivka, and Vuhledar in Donetsk region; Verkhnia Tersa, Piatikhatky, and Lobkove in Zaporizhzhia region were under attack.

In turn, the aviation, missile forces and artillery of the Defense Forces conducted six strikes on the areas of concentration of enemy personnel and military equipment: command and control center, as well as artillery system and a pontoon bridge of the occupiers were destroyed.

In the Kharkiv sector, three combat engagements took place in the area of Vovchansk.

In the Kupiansk sector, 17 hostile attacks took place over the last day. Defense forces repelled enemy assaults near Kolesnykivka, Stelmakhivka, Lozova and Synkivka.

The enemy attacked in the Lyman sector 19 times. They tried to advance near Druzheliubivka, Makiivka, Nevske, Novosadove, Zarichne, Cherneshchyna, Serebrianka and Terny.

In the Siversk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 13 assault attacks by Russian invaders near Bilohorivka, Verkhnekamianske and Vyymka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, the occupants attacked twice - near Chasiv Yar and Andriivka.

In the Toretsk sector, the enemy, with the support of aviation, carried out 12 attacks near Druzhba, Dachne, Nelipivka and Toretsk.

In the Pokrovsk sector, our defenders stopped 41 aggressor's attacks towards the localities of Sukha Balka, Vozdvyzhenka, Zelene Pole, Novooleksandrivka, Novotoretsk, Hrodivka, Krasnyi Yar, Novohrodivka, Mykhailivka and Marynivka.

In the Kurakhove sector, Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 39 attacks near Selidove, Ukrainka, Krasnohorivka, Dolyna, Zhelanne Druhe, Heorhiivka, Kostiantynivka, Katerynivka and Zhelanne Pershe.

In the Vremivsk sector, according to updated information, the enemy made six attacks on our positions near Vodiane, Zolota Nyva, Katerynivka and Vuhledar.

In the Huliaipole sector, the village of Verkhnya Tersa was attacked by guided bombs.

In the Orikhivsk sector, the enemy attacked the localities of Piatikhatky and Lobkove with guided bombs too.

In the Prydniprovskyi sector, the invaders attacked our positions eight times. They received a tough rebuff and suffered losses.

In the Volyn and Polissia sectors, no signs of enemy offensive groups were detected.

On the border with Chernihiv and Sumy regions, the enemy is using artillery from the territory of Russia near Ukrainian settlements.

Our soldiers are actively inflicting significant losses on the occupation forces in manpower and equipment. In total, the Russian invaders suffered 1170 casualties over the last day. Ukrainian troops also destroyed six tanks, 20 armored combat vehicles, 23 artillery systems, one air defense system, 85 operational and tactical UAVs, one cruise missile and 53 occupant vehicles.

As a reminder, Ukrainian forces continue their offensive in the Kursk region. The advance of the defense forces and their taking control of several settlements have been confirmed.

Earlier, it was reported that on the night of September 15, the Russian terrorist army attacked Kharkiv with guided bombs. The enemy struck the territory of a hospital and an educational institution. The shelling caused a fire.
