Russian occupiers and their supporters complained about the disturbing night of November 26 in the temporarily occupied cities of the Donetsk region. A series of explosions left half of the regional center, Mariupol and other cities without power.
The invaders confirmed the damage to the Starobesheve thermal power plant. Footage of bright flashes over the settlements plunged into darkness was posted online.
According to reports in Donetsk's social media, the first explosions were heard around 02:10 in the temporarily occupied town of Zuhres. Later, it was loud in Khartsyzsk and other towns and villages around Donetsk.
Residents posted footage of flashes and explosions against a backdrop of a dark sky. In one of the videos, the residents reacted very emotionally to the "fireworks", saying that they would soon "be in Kyiv".

Later, there were reports of a hit in the suburbs of Donetsk, which caused a power outage in half of the city, Mariupol and other suburban areas. Residents of Mariupol said that water and heat had also begun to disappear.
Only in the morning, the so-called head of the "DPR" Denis Pushilin complained that "the enemy tried to damage the region's power system." He admitted that due to the massive scale of the attack, not everything was destroyed, but he did not specify what exactly was used to attack the occupiers.

The terrorist confirmed the damage that left part of the temporarily occupied Donetsk region without electricity. Therefore, boiler houses there also stopped working.
"The situation is not easy, but power engineers have already restored power supply in a number of settlements. The work continues, and everything possible to return light and heat to our citizens as soon as we can is being done," Pushilin tried to reassure the residents.

Other propagandists claimed that it was the Starobesheve TPP that was hit. Judging by the flash, the strike was very powerful.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, on November 19, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked a group of Russian marines at a concert near Starobesheve. In particular, the 810th Guards Naval Infantry Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces, which was accepting congratulations on the occasion of the Russian Day of Missile Forces and Artillery, was hit.
The House of Culture, where the invaders gathered, was severely damaged, with the stage area suffering the most. At least 25 enemies were killed, and another hundred were wounded.
