Only the man survived: a photo of the family with children killed by Russia's missile attack on Lviv has appeared

Russian troops killed a family with children in Lviv with a rocket attack, who were in their own home at the time of the attack. Only the man survived.

A photo of the family was posted by Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovy on his official Telegram channel. "After today's attack, only the man in this photo survived. His wife Yevhenia and their three daughters - Yaryna, Daryna and Emilia - were killed in their own home," he said.

Yaryna Bazylevych (back in the photo), who was 21 years old, worked in the office of the Lviv City Council ' s "Lviv - European Youth Capital 2025" program, Sadovy said.

"In the center of Europe , Russia is exterminating entire families of Ukrainians. Russians are killing our children, our future. I don't know what words to use to support Yaroslav's father. Today we are all with you. My sincere condolences and blessed memory," the mayor wrote.

A neighbor of the victims told Radio Liberty that they were a wonderful family.

"One child was big, I don't know how old she was. And two very small ones. They say that the mother held the children like this (in her arms - Ed.). It was very hard..." said the woman from Lviv.

She herself miraculously survived, as she was staying with friends when the woman's apartment was destroyed by the Russian "Kinzhal".

"Yesterday my daughter and I stayed with her friend. She wanted to stay, but I told her to go home. Something must have saved me. They called me and said that my apartment was gone, but I didn't believe it. I thought someone had made something up. So I came running in my slippers. The apartment... We will not be lost... If only people were alive," the woman said.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, around six o'clock in the morning on September 4, explosions were heard in Lviv, the Russian Federation attacked the city with "Daggers". The shelling killed seven people, including three children. At least 47 people were also injured, including five children.

Residential buildings, educational institutions, and architectural monuments under the protection of UNESCO, including the Center for Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation, were hit. As of 11 a.m., the search for victims under the rubble continued.

At the same time, Russia attacked Kryvyi Rih. Five people were injured, and residential buildings and civilian infrastructure were destroyed.

President Volodymyr Zelensky reacted to the attack. He called on partners to provide Ukraine with more long-range capability to help stop Russian terror.
