"One of Ukraine's greatest successes": Zelenskyi noted the expulsion of the Russian military fleet from the Black Sea

The expulsion of the Russian military fleet from the Black Sea is the greatest achievement of the Defense Forces since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. This has allowed the resumption of food shipments to countries on three continents: Asia, Africa and Europe.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyi addressed the participants of the International Maritime Organization summit with these words. His speech was broadcast by the press service of the Presidential Administration.

"It was in the Black Sea that we managed to prove that Ukraine will not only remain a donor of global security, including food security, but also is capable of protecting security," the head of state emphasized.

Zelenskyi added that Moscow, which is currently engaged in international terrorism, has no place in organizations that deal with security at the global level. Freedom of navigation must be inviolable.

"No matter how powerful the force that seeks to destroy freedom of navigation is, the power of cooperation between nations is always more powerful. Always," Zelenskyi summarized.

As a reminder, over the year and a half of full-scale war, the Defense Forces neutralized 10-15% of the Russian Black Sea Fleet. Some of these ships went down forever, while others were seriously damaged.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, the European Council noted that counteroffensive operations in Ukraine cannot be considered ineffective, let alone ineffective. Charles Michel noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have made great progress in the Black Sea and on the left bank of the Dnipro River.

"I don't think this counteroffensive has failed. Two examples. First, it is extremely important how the Ukrainian army has made tremendous progress in the Black Sea. This is a big step in the right direction. Second, the recent progress made on the left bank of the Dnipro is very important," the European politician emphasized.
