"One of the best operations of the DIU": Budanov shared how they managed to lure out the Russian Mi-8 pilot along with the helicopter

Budanov shared details of special operation with Russian Mi-8 helicopter

The head of the Defense Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate Kyrylo Budanov has said that the landing of a Russian Mi-8 helicopter at an airfield in Kharkiv Region was one of the department's most successful special operations in the history of Ukraine. The pilot, who was lured out, is now in Ukraine and intends to stay in our country.

Budanov said this in an interview with Radio Svoboda on Wednesday, August 23. He noted that it was possible to find an approach to this man, and his entire family was taken out of Russia.

Ukrainian intelligence was also able to create such conditions that he was able to transfer this aircraft with a crew that did not know what was going on.

The crew tried to escape but was destroyed.

According to Budanov, the helicopter is in Kyiv. It will be possible to see it and communicate with the pilot after the release of the "official movie".

"The pilot feels great, everything is fine with him. He has two options, but he is leaning towards being here (in Ukraine - ed.)," the head of the DIU said.

Earlier it was reported that the Russian helicopter Mi-8 was transferred to the Ukrainian airfield. Ukrainian intelligence lured the pilot of the Mi-8 AMTSH to Ukraine and he landed in the Kharkiv region, the other two crew members did not know about what was happening.

The occupiers went crazy. They began to talk about the crew's "loss of orientation" and that the helicopter had allegedly landed in Ukraine. There, two crew members were allegedly liquidated and the commander was captured.

Propagandists assure that this is the only true version of what happened. They even started collecting funds for the "rescue" of the captured Russian.

As reported by OBOZREVATEL, there was an explosion in the occupied Crimea. At first, it was reported about the flight on the Russian military facility on Cape Tarkhankut. Subsequently, the DIU said that the explosion destroyed the Russian S-400 Triumf anti-aircraft missile system along with missiles and occupants.
