On the night of August 24, Russia attacked southern Ukraine. On Independence Day, Russian strategic long-range bombers launched four X-22 cruise missiles at Snake Island.
The invaders also attacked Kherson region with guided bombs. This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to information from the South Air Command, on the night of August 24, Russian Tu-22M3 long-range bombers launched four X-22 cruise missiles near Snake Island.
The enemy also struck Kherson region with guided bombs.
The invaders also continue to conduct aerial reconnaissance. The day before, on August 23, air defense forces destroyed five reconnaissance drones in the south of our country: two ZALAs, one Supercam, one Orlan-10 and one Merlin, as well as two Lancet strike UAVs.
As a reminder, the day before, on August 23, Russians attacked Kherson with strike drones. They also fired artillery at the regional center. Nine civilians were injured as a result of the shelling.
On the same day, the occupiers attacked a rescue operation at the site of the shelling in Kozacha Lopan. Law enforcement officers, rescuers and local residents were clearing the rubble after the August 21 enemy attack for three days. Three police officers were injured.
