Another occupier involved in war crimes will be tried in Ukraine. In Irpin, a soldier of the Russian terrorist country shot at civilian cars and took wounded civilians prisoner.

This was reported by the press service of the National Police of Ukraine. The attacker faces a long prison term.

"On March 5-6, 2022, local residents with small children tried to evacuate Irpin. The occupiers opened fire on civilians with grenade launchers and small arms. As a result of the shootings, 9 people were killed and 12 others were injured, including a young child," the police said.

Law enforcement officers identified three servicemen of the occupying country involved in the shooting of the evacuation convoy. They were served a notice of suspicion. At the same time, the indictment against the company commander of the 173rd separate reconnaissance battalion was sent to court. Now the 23-year-old paratrooper will be tried.

"It has been established that the occupier, after shooting civilian cars at gunpoint, forbade to provide assistance to the wounded, people were lying on the road and slowly dying in front of their relatives. Instead, he and other Russian military personnel locked the survivors and the wounded, who could move independently and were seriously injured, in a seized house," the police stressed.

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, four more Russian servicemen involved in war crimes will be tried in Ukraine. The occupiers tortured civilians in Bucha, Kyiv region, and mimicked their execution.
