On the afternoon of March 15, Russian invaders attacked Odesa region. During the air raid, explosions were heard in the regional center.

As a result of the attack, there were reports of arrivals, destruction and casualties, a paramedic and a rescuer who were working at the site of one of the arrivals were killed. This was reported by Oleh Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration.

"There are victims of the Russian missile attack on Odesa. All relevant services are working at the scene. The data is being clarified," he said shortly after reports of explosions in the regional center.

Later, Kiper said that among the victims and injured as a result of the strikes were medics and rescuers who arrived at the scene after the first arrival to save people.

"Unfortunately, a paramedic and an employee of the State Emergency Service, who arrived at the scene after the first explosion, were killed as a result of the Russian missile attack. There are also seriously wounded among the medics and rescuers. The total number of injured is being clarified, and all are being provided with the necessary medical care. Russia is a terrorist country," emphasized the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration.

The first explosions in Odesa were reported in the public domain around 11 am. About 20 minutes later, there were reports of repeated explosions.

The invaders, according to monitoring channels, launched at least two ballistic missiles at the regional center. As noted, the launches were carried out from the temporarily occupied Crimea.

According to Mykolaivsky Vanko, the enemy could have hit a high-rise building.

"Preliminarily, there is damage and fire to civilian infrastructure (HOUSE, F*CK, AGAIN)," the message said.

A missile threat was also recorded for the Izmail district of Odesa region.

As a reminder, on the night of March 2, 2024, as a result of another attack by the Russian Federation using kamikaze drones on Odesa, 18 apartments were completely destroyed and 36 apartments were damaged in a high-rise building at 134 Dobrovolskoho Avenue. The attack killed 12 people, including five children. 20 people were injured. The search and rescue operation was completed on March 3. Five people were rescued.

On March 6, when the city was saying goodbye to a mother and a baby killed by the occupiers, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the Prime Minister of Greece paid tribute to the victims of the Russian Shahed missile attack on a residential building in Odesa. At that moment, the invaders attacked the city again.

After Russia's strike on Odesa, the Greek prime minister voiced a "message" to the Kremlin. According to him, Moscow will not be able to intimidate Ukraine's partners with such terror: they will continue to support the Ukrainian people.
