Occupants slow down their offensive in Donetsk region: British intelligence gives reason and assesses situation
Over the past week, the Russian terrorist army has reduced the number of attacks in Donetsk region. Compared to the end of February 2024, the number of clashes decreased by 13%.
The occupiers' progress slowed down after they captured Avdiivka and a number of small settlements. This was reported by the UK military intelligence on social network X.
According to British intelligence, in February, the average number of Russian attacks per week in the Donetsk region reached 600. Last month, Putin's terrorists managed to take control of Avdiivka and several other villages to the west of the city.
The agency also noted that in the coming weeks, the terrorist country Russia will continue to restore its forces and launch attacks on priority areas in eastern Ukraine. Therefore, the overall situation at the front will remain tense.
British intelligence added that Russian troops will continue to attack simultaneously in several sections of the front line. However, the occupiers are focusing their main efforts west of Avdiivka and Maryinka. These areas account for 60% of all enemy attacks.

As a reminder, the Russian occupation army's offensive in the Avdiivka sector stalled after it captured Avdiivka and several villages beyond in February. The fact that the Russian offensive has slowed down was influenced by the fact that the Ukrainian Armed Forces units defending this section of the frontline received ammunition.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, the deputy commander of the 3rd Separate Mechanized Brigade Maksym Zhorin said that the occupiers cannot break through the Ukrainian defense behind Avdiivka. They are "erased" by Orlivka, suffering huge losses there.
