Russian war criminals continue to terrorise residents of the Kherson region with constant shelling. The enemy does not stop striking at the liberated settlements of the region, resulting in civilian casualties.
On the afternoon of April 20, Russians attacked the village of Kyzomys. The head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, reported this on Telegram.
According to the head of the regional military administration, a 59-year-old man died as a result of the Russians' criminal actions.
"The Russian horde shelled the village of Kyzomys again. A 59-year-old man was killed," Prokudin said.
According to the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, the Russian occupiers attacked the village with guided aerial bombs. The office confirmed the death of the man and noted that the number of injured is being determined.
The bombing damaged civilian infrastructure, including residential buildings, commercial premises and vehicles. Prosecutors, together with investigators, are taking priority measures to document the crime committed by the Russian army.
Under the procedural supervision of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation was initiated in criminal proceedings over violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 1, Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Russian troops also continue to shell border settlements in northern Ukraine. The 'North' Operational Command reported that as of 12:00 on April 20, Russian troops had fired twice at the Chernihiv region with mortars. There are wounded and dead among civilians.
