On Monday morning, Russian occupation forces shelled Kherson once again . A transport company and a police car came under attack.

Four people were injured as a result of another terrorist act by the Russians. This was reported by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin. The life of one of the patrol policemen could not be saved, Oleksiy Biloshitsky, first deputy head of the Patrol Police Department of Ukraine, said on Facebook.

"The Russian army has attacked Kherson once again since the beginning of the day. At about 10:00, the enemy fired at a transport company," Prokudin said in a statement.

It is noted that four people were injured as a result of the shelling of Kherson, two of them are in serious condition.

The police clarified that KORD special forces managed to rescue a civilian whose leg was blown off under the ongoing explosions. He is currently in the hospital. His condition is critical.

In addition, a patrol police car came under fire. The impact was so strong that it pierced the armor. As a result, two police officers were injured. They were hospitalized, one of the patrol policemen was in a very serious condition. He eventually died on the operating table.

Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko clarified that the Kherson patrol officer Vitaliy Novytsky was killed. The policeman was 38 years old. Vitaliy is survived by his parents, wife and 8-year-old son.

The Kherson District Prosecutor's Office reported that it had launched a pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings over the violation of the laws and customs of war (part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to preliminary information, the shelling was carried out from artillery.

"Prosecutors, in cooperation with police investigators, are taking all measures to document war crimes committed by representatives of the armed forces of the aggressor state," the prosecutor's office added.

As OBOZREVATEL reported, on October 1 , the occupiers dropped explosives from a drone on residential buildings in Kherson, and a fire broke out. Four people were rescued from the fire.

In addition, on the night of October 1, the occupiers dropped 10 bombs on the region, civilians were injured.
