On the night of Wednesday, November 13, the aggressor country Russia again took strategic aviation into the sky – Tu-95MS bombers took off from the Olenya airfield in the Murmansk region. In total, up to six planes were moving to the launch area.

They subsequently performed launch maneuvers. At about 7 a.m., Russian missiles entered Ukrainian airspace, and a large-scale air alert was announced.

The Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was the first to report the maneuvers of the enemy's strategic aviation. "Approximately in the area of the launching boundaries are expected at 5:00," they said.

As of 4:52 a.m., monitoring channels reported that Russian strategic bombers were "on the home stretch" to launch positions near Engels.

At 05:57, it became known that the enemy had carried out launch maneuvers.

"The enemy probably launched air-launched cruise missiles from the Rostov region of the Russian Federation. We will find out whether the launch was actually carried out or an imitation in an hour, around 07:00," the monitoring channel reports.

According to another monitoring channel, four Tu-95MSs were launched from Volgodonsk, a city in Rostov Oblast near the administrative border with Volgograd Oblast.

"We will find out if they are real or simulated in 45-70 minutes," the message posted at 06:04 reads.

The rest of the TU-95MS aircraft carried out a launch maneuver from the Caspian Sea, "Nikolaev Vanek" said at 06:50.

"If the launches are real, the missiles will be in our airspace by 08:00," he added.

Almost simultaneously, the Air Force reported that a Russian missile had entered Ukrainian airspace.

"A missile in Chernihiv region heading for Kyiv region!" the message read at 06:48.

At about 06:55, the Ukrainian Air Force reported that the missile changed course to the Poltava region flew to the Cherkasy region, then turned to the Kirovohrad region, and then flew into the Kyiv region.

"It's coming in from the south of Kyiv region, heading north!" the Air Force said at 07:18.

As of 07:00, an air alert was declared in all regions of Ukraine.

As of 07:20, explosions were heard in Kyiv, air defense was operating. Ballistic missiles were reported in the direction of the capital.

It became known at 07:35 that a third ballistic missile was flying toward Kyiv.

"In connection with the threat of a missile strike in Kyiv, emergency power outage schedules may be introduced. This is a preventive measure. Stay calm! Take care of your own safety," Serhii Popko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, addressed Kyiv residents.

After the air raid, which lasted more than two hours, Popko clarified that this morning, for the first time in 73 days, Russia launched a combined missile and drone attack on Kyiv.

The invaders sent kamikaze drones and cruise missiles at the capital almost simultaneously, and when the latter was approaching Kyiv, they also struck with ballistic missiles. Finally, they launched drones again.

"The enemy probably used air-launched cruise missiles, KN-23/KN-24/Iskander-M ballistic missiles, Shahed/Geran/Gerbera/Parodya drones... As a result of the air battle, the Defense Forces destroyed several cruise missiles, several ballistic missiles, and up to a dozen enemy drones," stated Popko.

According to him, as of 09:03, the KRMA has not received any information about damage or casualties in Kyiv.

The alert in the Kyiv region lasted for more than 8 hours, and the invaders also sent drones and missiles to the Kyiv region.

"A man was wounded as a result of the fall of debris from downed enemy targets in one of the localities. The man of 48 years old received head abrasions, his condition is satisfactory. The necessary medical aid was provided on the spot. He refused to be hospitalized. A warehouse caught fire at the site of the fall of the debris. The fire is localized. The ambulance crew continues to be on duty," Ruslan Kravchenko, head of the Kyiv regional military administration, outlined the consequences of the enemy strikes known as of 09:00 am.

As a reminder, on the morning of Monday, November 11, the Russian Federation also launched a group of Tu-95MS strategic bombers. Enemy Mig-31Ks, which are carriers of the "Kinzhal" missiles, also reached the launch line.

As a result, no real launches took place. The departure of such a large number of aircraft turned out to be a large-scale training of Russian aviation.
