Occupants in the Bakhmut sector are on active defense: Ukrainian Armed Forces report on the situation

The Russian Federation troops have started active defense in the Bakhmut sector. The invaders are trying to find weaknesses in order to regain control of the lost positions.

This was stated by the spokesperson for the Land Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Volodymyr Fityo. He spoke about the situation on the morning of November 13 on Radio Liberty (to watch the video, scroll to the bottom of the page).

However, on the front line from Kupyansk to Bakhmut, the Russian army has no strategic successes, the military said.

He said that in the area of Bakhmut, Donetsk region, the enemy "moved from defense to active defense." "They are trying to recapture the positions they lost earlier," said the representative of the Ukrainian Army.

"When the Defense Forces units have an opportunity, they move to attacking actions to improve the tactical situation.

Over the course of November 12, our defenders repelled 10 enemy attacks, including in the areas of Klishchiyivka and Andriivka.

The occupiers had been preparing for active hostilities for about three months, and the Ukrainian Armed Forces could see it. Our soldiers were also preparing.

"We were fortifying ourselves, strengthening our engineering structures. We were also pulling up our reserves. And we saw that at first the attacks were more active in the Liman-Kupyansk direction, and now they have moved to the Bakhmut direction. That is, the enemy is trying to achieve success at least somewhere," said Fityo.
