On February 20 at around 5 a.m., Russian terrorists shelled the Novoslobidska community in the Konotop district, Sumy region. The attack killed at least two people, and the rubble is being cleared.

This was reported on the Telegram of the Sumy Military Regional Administration. It is noted that the enemy attacked civilians with artillery and aircraft. A residential building was destroyed and a fire broke out at the scene.

The fire is now localized. The search operation continues. The RMA called on locals to save their lives and evacuate if possible.

Later, on Telegram, the Operational Command North clarified that the Novoslobidska community was hit with cannon artillery 14 times. The occupiers also used one Shahed drone.

"According to preliminary information, the shelling killed 5 civilians and damaged a residential building," the statement said.

The village head Olha Harkavenko also confirmed the death of an entire family of five people. She specified that it is a grandmother, two sons, and their relatives who had recently arrived from Kyiv.

Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko said that the house where the family was killed was hit by an enemy drone. The search and rescue operation lasted over 9 hours.

"Five people were killed in the Russian strike: a woman, her two sons, a grandmother and a relative who came to visit. Rescuers have unblocked the bodies of the victims from the rubble of the house," Klymenko noted.

According to him, over 550 attacks were registered over the last day. 90 localities in 8 regions of the country were under fire.

As a reminder, on February 19, the occupiers shelled three settlements with artillery and Grad multiple rocket launchers in the Zaporizhzhia region. Two civilians were killed as a result of the enemy's attacks.

On the night of February 15, Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed all 23 Shahed136/131 kamikaze drones, which the occupiers launched mainly in the south. At the same time, the enemy also used three missiles. An industrial facility was damaged in the Poltava region as a result of the attack.

On February 19, the occupiers dropped guided bombs on residential buildings in the village of Vilkhuvatka, Kupiansk district, Kharkiv region. As a result of the Russian attack, a 74-year-old local was injured: she was pulled out from under the rubble of the house.

On February 18, Russians shelled Nikopol district in the Dnipropetrovsk region. A 56-year-old man was injured in the attack.
