Occupants attacked Nikopol with kamikaze drones

On the afternoon of October 28, Russian occupation forces attacked Nikopol in Dnipropetrovs'k region with kamikaze drones. Two girls, aged 12 and 13, were injured in the attack.

Both were hospitalized with shrapnel wounds. This was reported by the head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration Serhii Lysak.

"The condition is of moderate severity. Doctors are providing all necessary medical assistance," he said.

Nikopol Mayor Oleksandr Sayuk emphasized that there were several such drone strikes. Information on other consequences of the attack is being clarified.

According to him, the night before and last night the enemy also attacked the city with a kamikaze drone and fired from cannon artillery. There were no casualties. At the same time, two industrial enterprises were damaged in Nikopol.

"Do not ignore the air raid alert! Please stay in shelters, take care of your own safety!" the official urged.

The regional prosecutor's office reported injured minors and damaged private houses. A pre-trial investigation has been launched in criminal proceedings over the violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

"Prosecutors, in cooperation with other law enforcement agencies, are taking all possible and appropriate measures to document war crimes committed by representatives of the Russian armed forces," the press service said.

The head of the Dnipropetrovs'k Regional Council Mykola Lukashuk reacted to the shelling. He noted that the enemy is trying to create an atmosphere of fear and uncertainty, demoralize the population of the region by any means, put pressure on local authorities, and provoke a flow of refugees.

"Constant shelling disrupts the normal life of Nikopol region, complicates access to basic needs, and exacerbates humanitarian problems.

The international community must respond firmly to the terror perpetrated by the Russians and use all levers of influence to weaken the occupiers. Our children, our people should not suffer. The punishment for war criminals must be irreversible," Lukashuk said.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, on October 23, the Russian occupiers shelled Nikopol with artillery, injuring three civilians. About 15 shops, multi-story buildings, and cars were damaged in the city.
