Russian occupation forces are currently 11 kilometers from Pokrovsk, Donetsk region. There are still 59,980 residents in the city, although mandatory evacuation in the region has been going on since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion.
This was announced on the air of the national telethon by the head of the Pokrovsk city military administration, Serhiy Dobriak. He emphasized that the evacuation in Pokrovsk has been intensified due to the approach of the enemy.
"It is about 11 kilometers to the outskirts of the city. The city is preparing like the rest of Donetsk region. We have a combat unit and a combat brigade assigned to each city in Donetsk region. We have developed city defense plans," said the head of the MVA, explaining that Pokrovsk is important to the Russians in terms of logistics.
Dobriak said that 450-500 residents were evacuated from the city every month before, and almost 1800 residents have been evacuated over the past week. Before the full-scale invasion, there were about 86,000 people in the community. The head of the MBA notes that fortifications are definitely being built in Pokrovsk.
Taking into account the enemy's movements and the intensification of the KAB's strikes on the towns in the Pokrovsk section, the Deep State channel also recommended that residents evacuate from Selydove, Myrnohrad and Pokrovsk.
