A group of NATO countries to provide Ukraine with one million drones: Stoltenberg shares details

Group of NATO Allies unite to deliver one million drones to Ukraine

A group of NATO countries will provide the Armed Forces of Ukraine with one million unmanned aerial vehicles. The transfer will be made as part of military assistance.

This was announced by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg  during a press conference following a meeting of NATO defense ministers on Thursday, February 15. According to him, this will help save the lives of Ukrainians.

He noted that a regular meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Council was held today, February 15. During the meeting, Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov briefed the partners on the situation at the frontline. The allies emphasized the importance of further support for our country.

Stoltenberg also said that over the past few days, Canada, Finland and Norway have announced new military aid packages for Ukraine. They will include equipment and spare parts for F-16 fighter jets, as well as air defense equipment to protect the country against Russian aircraft and missile attacks.

"A group of allies is uniting to deliver one million drones to Ukraine. Twenty NATO member states have also agreed to create a coalition for demining. All this will help save the lives of Ukrainians," the Secretary General added.

As previously reported, the UK and Latvia will jointly lead another coalition to help Ukraine. As part of it, our country will receive 3,000 drones, including FPV drones, which have proven to be highly effective on the battlefield.

As previously reported, the UK government will extend duty-free trade with Ukraine for almost all goods until 2029. This step is intended to help Ukrainian businesses affected by the war.

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said that the UK is ready to defend itself if Russia decides to attack the country. For this purpose, additional funding has been provided to the Ministry of Defense.
