Loud explosion heard in the center of Donetsk: smoke is billowing at the site. Video and photos

Explosion occurs in Donetsk

On Saturday, October 21, a powerful explosion occurred in the center of temporarily occupied Donetsk. A column of black smoke then rose into the sky.

Photos and videos from the scene were published by local Telegram channels. It is noted that a distribution center was allegedly shelled. An occupational diseases hospital in the Kalininskyi district of Donetsk was also damaged (to watch the video, scroll to the end of the news).

Earlier, military expert Oleksiy Melnyk expressed the opinion that the liberation of the temporarily occupied city of Donetsk is not a priority for the Ukrainian Defense Forces now due to a number of objective reasons. However, the defensive lines of the occupying country, Russia, erected after 2014 may not be too difficult an obstacle.

The expert believes that the enemy's defense in this section of the front may be weakened by the transfer of forces and funds to other areas.

As reported by OBOZ.UA:

- Russian occupants are bringing the bodies of their dead fellow countrymen to Donetsk from the nearest directions. There is an acute shortage of places in morgues. Their employees are worried that improper storage of corpses could provoke an epidemic infectious outbreak.

- In September, explosions occurred in Donetsk in the building of the "administration" of the so-called head of the "DPR" Denis Pushilin. A fire started in the building on Pushkin Boulevard and the roof was partially destroyed.
