Lazutkin: Russian troops hit Avdiivka with guided bombs, the situation in the city is very difficult

Russia is trying to advance in the Avdiivka sector

The Russian terrorist army continues to intensively shell Avdiivka in the Donetsk region. The enemy is using drones, missiles and guided aerial bombs to destroy the city.

Civilians, including children, remain in Avdiivka. Given the very high level of danger, the military urged civilians to evacuate. This was stated by Dmytro Lazutkin, Head of the Public Relations Service of the 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade, during the TV marathon.

According to him, Russian terrorists are attacking Avdiivka several times a day with guided aerial bombs. Due to the intense shelling, almost all of the city's infrastructure has been destroyed.

Russian troops also continue to try to attack the positions of Ukrainian troops near Avdiivka. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are holding the line and repelling the enemy.

"Occupants are attacking Avdiivka with aircraft daily, constantly dropping bombs on the city. The city is being destroyed and it is clear that it is extremely dangerous for civilians to be there. Speaking of the military component, the enemy has already carried out about 13-14 attacks on the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near the villages of Berdychi and Stepove. The contact line has not changed significantly, and positional fighting continues. Our infantry is heroically holding the line under fire," Lazutkin said.

The military noted that there are several hundred civilians in Avdiivka today. Moreover, there are even children among them. He urged people not to waste time and evacuate to safe places as soon as possible.

"Several hundred civilians are still in Avdiivka. There is information that there are even children among them. The evacuation will take place as this city is doomed to be shelled. All civilians need to leave it," the military noted.

As reported by OBOZ.UA:

- The situation in the area of Avdiivka remains very tense. The occupants keep trying to completely surround the city and are shelling it with various types of weapons. The head of the Regional Military Administration, Vitalii Barabash, published a video from Avdiivka, which shows that there is not a single intact building in the city.

- At a press conference on December 26, Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Valerii Zaluzhnyi suggested that Russia could do to Avdiivka what it did to Bakhmut in a few months. According to him, Ukraine values every piece of its land, but the Ukrainian Armed Forces will defend the city as long as they have the strength to do so.
