Karl von Habsburg: Putin does not want peace, he denies Ukraine's right to exist

Karl von Habsburg calls for more weapons for Ukraine

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin is planning to establish a new world order and seeks the complete destruction of the Ukrainian state. We need to listen to what Putin and his propagandists say, but we should not assume that if Russia invades Ukraine, the situation in the world will be the same as it was before February 24, 2022.

This was stated by Karl von Habsburg, President of the Pan-European Movement of Austria, grandson of the last Emperor of Austria-Hungary, Charles I, in his traditional "Speech on the Future of Europe," Ukrinform reports. He called on states to increase military assistance to Ukraine.

Karl von Habsburg advised people to listen to the words of the dictator and his propagandists but "not to fall into the paralysis of fear and not to bury your head in the sand."

"To be able to give a clear assessment of the situation and to have the courage to take on the responsibility that Europe and the Western world need now," he said.

Putin does not want peace and has completely reoriented the Russian economy to a war footing. This means that the Kremlin expects the war to last for a long time.

"He does not care about his population and is burning them in brutal infantry attacks. He clearly tells us that he wants a new world order. He clearly denied Ukraine's right to exist even before he attacked it with the intent to destroy it. He and his propagandists clearly and unequivocally tell us that they see at least the eastern half of Europe - what used to be the Eastern Bloc - as their sphere of influence," the head of the Pan-European Movement of Austria emphasized.

According to the politician, if we take into account these statements from Moscow, "it becomes clear why all those who believe that each new supply of weapons to Ukraine will only prolong the suffering and lead to even more deaths are wrong."

"Everything is happening on the contrary. The sooner we help Ukraine with our support to expel the Russian army of destruction from the country, the sooner the war will end," von Habsburg is convinced.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, giving a speech in Estonia, called on the West to strengthen support for Ukraine. He emphasized that the Armed Forces of Ukraine need more shells and they will move forward.
