Is this a gesture of goodwill? Occupants declare "redeployment of troops to more favorable positions" in Kherson region, but then "backtrack"

The military and political leadership of the Russian Federation has stated that the Russian occupation army has decided to take "more favorable positions" in the Kherson region. This refers to the Dnipro group, which is stationed on the left bank.

The invaders announced that they would be moving troops to "more favorable positions" east of Dnipro. This was reported by Kremlin propaganda media with reference to the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The statement says that the command of the Dnipro group decided to move troops after assessing the situation. The occupiers also said that after the so-called "regrouping" part of the forces would be used to attack in other areas.

It is noteworthy that the statement about the "regrouping" later disappeared from the website of the Russian Defense Ministry. In addition, the news was removed by Kremlin propaganda outlets. Some sites claimed that the news was published "by mistake."

Later, the propagandists said that "sending out a false message about the 'regrouping' of troops in the Dnipro region, allegedly on behalf of the Russian Defense Ministry's press center, is a provocation."

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in the area of responsibility of the Odesa Operational and Strategic Grouping of troops in the Kherson sector, Ukrainian defenders are conducting counter-battery combat and inflicting fire on enemy positions. Meanwhile, Russian war criminals continue to terrorize civilians on the right bank of the Kherson region. The enemy is massively shelling populated areas with artillery and multiple rocket launchers, as well as dropping dozens of air bombs a day.

Earlier, it was reported that it would be difficult for the Russian military command to deploy combat-ready reinforcements to respond to the Ukrainian Armed Forces' operations on the left bank of the Kherson region. In particular, while simultaneously defending its positions in western Zaporizhzhia and supporting other offensive efforts in eastern Ukraine.

As OBOZ.UA reported earlier, according to ISW, the Ukrainian Defense Forces may conduct larger-scale operations on the left bank of the Kherson region. The Russian occupiers, who are now entrenched on this bank of the Dnipro, are already panicking.
