Iran has transferred newest aerial bombs to Russia for its war against Ukraine: what is known about Qaem-5
Iran continues to supply the terrorist country Russia with various weapons for its war against Ukraine. Recently, Iranian Qaem-5 guided aerial bombs were spotted on the battlefield.
The carriers of these weapons are Mohajer-6 strike and reconnaissance drones. This is reported by the BILD publication.
It is noteworthy that such a UAV with bombs on suspensions recently crashed in the Kursk region. It is likely that the Russian occupiers intended to drop Qaem-5 bombs on the territory of the Sumy region.
Iran put these bombs into service only in 2019. Moreover, Russia has not previously used Qaem-5 in the war against Ukraine. German journalists note that the use of such weapons indicates a "new level" of military cooperation between Tehran and Moscow.
Qaem5 bombs can destroy targets at a distance of 12 to 20 km, depending on the altitude of the drone. Iran also claimed to have developed a new version of the bomb with a range of up to 40 km. The Qaem5 is equipped with a television guidance system.
As a reminder, an Iranian-made Mohajer-6 ER-858 reconnaissance and strike drone was spotted carrying Qaem5 aerial bombs in the Kursk region.
Earlier, it was reported that the aggressor country Russia produces artillery shells about three times faster than Ukraine's Western allies, and these munitions are about four times cheaper.
