On the morning of May 13, the aggressor country Russia attacked the Khmelnytsky region from the air - a series of explosions were heard in the region, and there were flights on critical infrastructure. As a result of the aggressor's actions, 11 people were injured, and residential houses, industrial, medical, and educational institutions were damaged in the regional center.

"Today during the air alert, the enemy attacked Khmelnitschina. Unfortunately, there is a flight on critical infrastructure," confirmed in the OVA.

They noted that the enemy-struck object is outside the settlements. Residents were urged to remain calm because all the relevant services were working at the site of the arrival.

"Individual trains will follow a modified schedule today. Details later," the department added.

Recall that during the Russian air attack on Ukraine on May 13 at about 5 a.m., a series of explosions were reported in Khmelnytskyi. Two hours later, the air-raid alert was canceled, but Khmelnytskyi mayor Oleksandr Simchyshyn warned that explosions would still be heard in the regional center for some time.

He later said that as of 07:30 on Saturday, no arrivals had been detected in Khmelnytskyi. However, as a result of a terrorist attack, RF hit a facility on the territory of one of the communities of the Khmelnytskyi district. A fire continued there.

Explosive waves in Khmelnytskyi damaged educational, medical institutions, administrative buildings, industrial facilities, and multi-story and private houses.

"There are injured and wounded residents of the community. The number is being clarified. All services are working to eliminate the consequences. In case of damage to housing, please call 1580, as well as in UMK "Central," - said the mayor.

He added that there is no evacuation from the city yet. There are no problems with utilities.

As of 09:40, it is known that 11 people were injured as a result of the night attack on Khmelnytskyi. At the critical facility, which was hit by Russian troops, rescuers continued to extinguish the fire. People were warned that it would last for several more hours.
