The Ukrainian Defense Forces "have more means and tools" to destroy the aviation of the aggressor country Russia. The Russian command and pilots of the Russian army understand all the risks.
Therefore, the occupation forces have begun to plan operations on the front line in Ukraine involving helicopters and airplanes in more detail. This was stated by the spokesman of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yuriy Ihnat, Channel 24 reports.
In particular, as Ignat explained, Russian troops are "cautiously" striking with guided missiles and bombs, because they understand all the risks.
The speaker also noted that the destruction of Russian aviation for the aggressor country is a loss of money, but the elimination of pilots also means precious time and resources spent on training and preparation of pilots.
"The enemy has seriously intensified its activities in the eastern sector, particularly in Avdiivka. The Air Force has more means and tools to reach the enemy at long distances, and this has improved our ability to shoot down Russian aircraft," explained the spokesman.
As a reminder, on February 17, Ukrainian soldiers shot down three Russian aircraft in the eastern part of Ukraine. These were two Su-34 fighter-bombers and a Su-35 fighter jet, from which the occupiers dropped precision-guided missiles, in particular in the Avdiivka area. The pilot of one of the downed Russian fighters directed the plane at a Ukrainian village.
On February 18, the Ukrainian Air Force shot down another Russian Su-34. The enemy aircraft was also destroyed in the eastern direction. At the same time, on the morning of February 19, Ukrainian soldiers destroyed a Su-34 fighter-bomber and a Su-35S fighter of the Russian Aerospace Forces. Both enemy planes landed in the eastern part of Ukraine.
