"I hope this is already the final solution": in the Main Intelligence Directorate, they explained whether it was possible to avoid a war with Russia

Russia's war against Ukraine did not begin in February 2022 or even in 2014 but much earlier, and Ukrainians are aware of this. The question now is how the civilized world allowed the formation of such a dictatorship in the 21st century that attacks various states.

This was stated by Andrii Yusov, a representative of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, on the program "BASE №2" on Radio Bayraktar. According to him, the issue of the Russian war in Ukraine was resolved long ago: "as soon as our country challenged the empire and declared that it wanted to be independent."

"This happened not in 1991, but much earlier. The issue of war was actually resolved. It has been ongoing for a long time. Now, I really hope that this is the final denouement, and after that, we will move freely without Russian weights on our feet," he said.

Yusov believes that when it comes to the full-scale war that began on February 24, 2022, the question of its beginning should be asked not only of Ukraine but also of "the whole world, of the security architecture."

"How did it happen that in the 21st century, a regime emerged that attacks different states, annexes parts of territories, does not recognize sovereignty – it's not just about Ukraine – destroys its own citizens, and introduces a dictatorship," the Main Intelligence Directorate representative asked.

He called it an existential conflict, which is nothing new. It's not as if Ukraine had a so-called peace-loving Russian neighbor before February 24 who just wanted to be "friends" and "trade," and then suddenly something went wrong.

"No. These are murderers, this is a horde, these are enemies who have been like this for decades and decades. How could we have avoided this war? Simply by giving up the right to exist," Yusov stated.

The analysts pointed out that the West has done little to defeat the Russian dictator, but it is not too late for it to show its determination to help Ukraine by providing more weapons to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, imposing sanctions against Russia and its partners, etc.
