Soldiers of the 3rd Regiment of the Special Operations Forces destroyed an enemy Leer-2 electronic warfare system in the Donetsk sector. The military tracked the movement of the equipment using a drone and then struck.
The corresponding video was published in the Ukrainian Armed Forces Telegram. They noted that thanks to the professional actions of the soldiers, the Russian complex was destroyed to the ground (to watch the video, scroll to the end of the news).
The Leer-2 electronic warfare system is designed to conduct radio reconnaissance of radio emission sources, and interfere with and suppress electronic communications. This equipment can imitate the operation of various electronic equipment and machinery, and even assess the electromagnetic situation. The ability to work near the enemy's front line and quickly leave positions adds to the effectiveness of this complex.
As a reminder, Ukrainian troops shot down a Russian Su-25 attack aircraft in the Tavria sector. In total, 40 units of occupants' military equipment were destroyed in this sector of the frontline yesterday.
In addition, according to British intelligence, Russia may have lost four S-400 Triumph anti-aircraft missile systems over the past week. They were destroyed by Ukrainian strikes in the temporarily occupied territories of Crimea and Luhansk region.
As reported by OBOZ.UA:
- Ukrainian soldiers destroyed a Russian ZALA UAV with a direct hit from HIMARS, which happened for the first time in history. The drone, which is used by the Russians to conduct reconnaissance and guide their attack drones, was eliminated along with the crew.
- Occupants on the temporarily occupied right bank of the Kherson region complained of a massive attack by FPV drones. They say they burned their vehicles and ammunition.
