On December 1, Ukrainian resistance activists in the temporarily occupied Melitopol, Zaporizhzhia region, held another revenge action against the occupiers. They carried out a successful attack at the entrance to the city in broad daylight, which resulted in the liquidation of the Russian invaders.
They were destroyed along with the fuel tanker, and the occupation "authorities" in Melitopol are now trying to hide the consequences of the attack. The details were disclosed by the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.
"An unexpected and successful attack was carried out at the entrance to the temporarily occupied Melitopol on December 1, 2023, at noon. Ukrainian resistance forces destroyed several Russian occupiers and damaged an enemy fuel tanker: the military equipment was disabled," the statement said.
The DIU added that the karma caught up with the invaders at 115 Bohdan Khmelnytskyi Avenue. Before the occupation, the Lider (Leader) car center was located nearby. According to military intelligence, the occupiers chose this place to stop for a smoke break.
"The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and brave Ukrainian guerrillas remind you: smoking kills," the DIU ironically says.
The intelligence service did not disclose details about how many invaders were eliminated. However, they added that local gauleiters are desperately trying to hide the consequences of the attack.
"After another successful raid by the resistance forces, which led to the elimination of the invaders and damage to their military equipment, the Russian occupation administration in Melitopol is trying to hide the consequences of the attack out of fear of the Kremlin's special services," the DIU said.
On November 12, it became known that Russian officers were killed in Melitopol as a result of an explosion at the occupiers' headquarters.
The revenge action, which was carried out by representatives of the local resistance movement, took place in the Russian-occupied Nova Poshta building located on Dmytro Dontsov Street (the occupiers call it Pavel Sudoplatov Street). The Russian invaders have set up their headquarters in this building. They were gathered there for a meeting when an explosion occured. At least three Russian officers were killed.
Two more meetings ended sadly for the invaders in Tokmak and the Kherson region. Dozens of invaders were killed and wounded there.
