The liberation of the village of Andriyivka in the Donetsk region by Ukrainian soldiers is of strategic importance. This is another step towards encircling the enemy troops in Bakhmut.

This was stated by the representative of the Eastern group of troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Serhiy Cherevaty on the air of the telethon. The fact that the occupants managed to knock out of Andriyivka became known in the morning of July 25.

The transfer of Andriyivka to Donetsk Region under the control of Ukrainian soldiers makes it possible to continue efforts to encircle Bakhmut, where heavy fighting is taking place.

"It (Andriyivka, - ed.) as well as any settlements around Bakhmut allow to complete the operation to encircle Bakhmut and dislodge or take the enemy into the ring," Cherevaty noted.

He added that the invaders have realized that they are dealing with a serious enemy, so they carefully mine the positions and bury themselves very hard.

That is why before the assault operations all units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces undergo additional training and coordination. Incidentally, they are preparing to pass minefields and anti-tank ditches, in particular with the help of German Biber bridge-layers.
