27 military clashes between the Defense Forces and Russian occupation troops have taken place on the Ukrainian front over the past 24 hours. Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the enemy offensive in the Lyman and Marinka directions, as well as to conduct a counter-offensive in the Melitopol and Berdiansk directions.

This is stated in the morning summary of the General Staff of the AFU on Facebook on July 29. At the same time, it noted that the occupiers are increasing the forced passportization of Ukrainians in the temporarily occupied territories

It is observed in Horlivka, Donetsk Region, where the occupiers have sent out an order to local enterprises to provide the so-called "Ministry of State Security of the DPR" with lists of employees who have not received a Russian passport. The deadline for the execution of the order is January 1, 2024.

Russian shelling and the situation on the frontline

Russian Federation launched a missile attack on the city of Dnipro, using 2 Iskander-M ballistic missiles over the past 24 hours. In addition, the enemy carried out 11 air strikes and 38 MLRS attacks on the positions of our troops and populated areas. Unfortunately, there are casualties among the civilian population. Residential houses and other civilian and administrative infrastructure were destroyed.

The enemy launched air strikes in the areas of Halahanivka and Leonivka in the Chernihiv region and Iskriskivshchyna, Volfyne in the Sumy region in the Siversk and Slobozhansk directions,.The enemy launched mortar and artillery attacks on more than 20 settlements, in particular Ivashky, Huryiv Kozachok, Udy, Strilka, Zelene, Okhrymivka in Kharkiv region.

The enemy launched an air strike near Druzhelyubivka in the Kharkiv region in the Kupiansk direction. Artillery and mortar shelling of the enemy hit Kolodiazne, Dvorichna, Zakhidne, Synkivka and Kyslivka in Kharkiv region.

The enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the areas of Serebryansky Forest and Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region in the Lyman direction. They also carried out an air strike near Hryhorivka, Donetsk region. The settlements of Nevske, Bilohorivka, Luhansk region, and Torske, Verkhniokamianske and Spirne, Donetsk region, were subjected to artillery shelling.

Enemy artillery shelling hit more than 15 localities in the Bakhmut direction, including Mynkivka, Bohdanivka, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Predtechyne and Bila Hora in Donetsk region.

The enemy launched an air strike near Avdiivka in the Avdiivka direction. More than 10 settlements, including Avdiivka, Pervomaisk and Karlivka in Donetsk region, were subjected to artillery shelling.

The defense forces continue to hold back the Russian troops' offensive near the town of Marinka in the Marinka direction. The enemy shelled more than 10 settlements, including Krasnohorovka, Marinka, Novomykhailivka, Peremoha and Heorhiivka in Donetsk region.

The enemy shelled the settlements of Vidradne, Blahodatne, Makarivka, Zelene Pole and Novodorivka in Donetsk region in the Shakhtar direction.

The enemy is concentrating its main efforts on preventing further advance of our troops in the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions. More than 25 settlements were subjected to artillery shelling, including Krasne, Huliaipole, Charivne, Novoandriivka and Stepne in Zaporizhzhia region and Zolota Balka, Mykhailivka, Kozatske, Tiahynka, Ivanivka and Sadve in Kherson region. At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to conduct offensive operations in the Melitopol and Berdiansk areas, consolidate on the achieved borders, inflict artillery fire damage on identified enemy targets and carry out counter-battery countermeasures.

Russia's losses in the war over 24 hours

The aviation of the defense forces carried out 3 strikes on areas of concentration of enemy personnel, weapons and military equipment over the past day.

Units of missile and artillery troops hit 8 artillery means on firing positions, 2 electronic warfare stations, composition of ammunition and composition of fuel and lubricants of the enemy during the day.

- The Ukrainian Defense Forces confirmed that they had liberated the village of Staromaiorske from Russian occupants in Donetsk Region on July 27. The settlement was de-occupied by fighters from the 35th Independent Marine Brigade and the Arey Territorrial Defense Battalion;

- Oleksandr Kovalenko, a military and political observer of the Information Resistance group, said that the Ukrainian Defense Forces have not started the third phase of the counteroffensive yet, as they have not attracted the main strike groups to participate in the operation to liberate the territories. However, defenders are already entering the second line of enemy defense in Zaporizhzhia direction.
