The Ukrainian Defense Forces repulsed Russian troops' offensives in the areas of Bakhmut and Marinka, as well as their attempts to restore their lost position near Urozhaine on August 19. The defenders fought the enemy in 32 combat clashes on different sections of the front over the day.

The Russian army made airstrikes in the areas of Kislivka and Kotliarivka and artillery and mortar shelling of Kucherivka, Petropavlivka, Kyslivka and Berestove in the Kharkiv region in the Kupiansk direction.

The Russian Armed Forces carried out airstrikes in the areas of Mala Tokmachka, Yehorivka and Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia direction.
