General Staff: the enemy has intensified its activity in the Siversky sector and is advancing in Kharkiv region, but the Ukrainian Armed Forces are counterattacking

In the morning and first half of the day on May 19, Russian troops intensified their activity on the Siverskyi and Kharkiv directions. As of 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, 78 combat engagements have already taken place in Ukraine.

Assessing the situation in general, the enemy is most active in the Siversky and Pokrovsk sectors. Intense fighting continues along almost the entire front line. This was reported on Facebook by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the 815th day of the full-scale Russian invasion.

Units of the Defense Forces are bravely resisting the Russian Armed Forces. "Thanks to confident and coordinated actions, Ukrainian warriors are doing everything to disrupt the enemy's plans. In some places, they are taking measures to improve the tactical situation," the press service noted.

As of 13:30, seven combat engagements were registered in the Kharkiv sector. The situation is dynamic, the enemy is trying to push our units near Vovchansk, Starytsia, and Liptsy. Near Lukianytsia, the Russians attacked with five anti-aircraft gunships. Ukrainian troops are holding the line, returning fire and counterattacking in certain areas.

In the Kupyansk sector, the aggressor's aircraft struck near Petropavlivka. As of 13:30, Ukrainian troops repelled four attacks, two more were ongoing. The fighting took place near Synkivka, Ivanivka, Berestove and Stelmakhivka. The invaders suffered casualties, information on which is being clarified.

In the Lyman sector, the occupants carried out air strikes near Zarichne and in the area of Serebryansky forest.

Since the beginning of the day, the enemy has become significantly more active in the Siversky sector. They are trying to break through our defenses near Bilohorivka, Verkhnekamianske and Rozdolivka. A total of 20 firefights have already taken place there.

In the Kramatorsk sector, the militants conducted nine attacks, in particular, near Vasylivka, Kalynivka, Klishchiyivka and Ivanivske. Three combat engagements were still ongoing. Enemy aircraft were operating near New York, Pivnichne, Dachne and Druzhba.

In the Pokrovsk sector, the enemy did not reduce the intensity of attacks. Occupants' aviation was active, striking in the areas of Vovche, Tymofiivka, Yevheniivka and Sokol. Five adjusted air bombs were used. In total, 19 attacks took place in this area. Ten of them were still ongoing.

Fighting also continued in the Kurakhove sector. Since the beginning of the day, five firefights took place near Heorhiivka, Paraskoviivka and Novomykhailivka. Three of them were still ongoing.

In the Vremivsk sector, Russians tried unsuccessfully to storm our positions near Staromayorske four times. An air strike was launched near Urozhayne.

In the Orikhiv sector, the enemy did not conduct any offensive actions. Instead, he used aircraft to attack Mali Shcherbaky and Andriivka.

In the Prydniprovsky sector, the enemy attacked Ukrainian troops three times near Krynky, without success.

In other areas, the situation did not change significantly.
