General Staff: Russian troops storm Vovchansk to no avail, intense fighting continues in the Pokrovsk sector

Since the beginning of the day, the number of combat engagements on the frontline in Ukraine has increased to 47. The Pokrovsk sector remains the hottest, where the occupants have tried to improve the tactical situation 15 times, and 9 battles are ongoing.

The Russians also tried to storm the area of Vovchansk to no avail. This is stated in the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook as of 15:00 on June 10.

It noted that the enemy continues to mercilessly shell the territory of Ukraine, especially the border. In Chernihiv and Sumy regions, Pokrovka and Novodmytrivka – from the direction of Vyazovoye (Russia), Starykove – from Kozino (Russia), and Sokhany – from Tiotkino (Russia) – have been hit by terrorists' artillery since the beginning of the day. In addition, the occupiers shelled Vovchansk, Tykhyi, Lyptsi, and Starytsia in Kharkiv region with multiple rocket launchers.

Situation in various sectors of the frontline

In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy is attacking with the support of aviation. Russian terrorists attacked the town of Synkivka with sixteen unguided missiles. Since the beginning of the day, there have been seven firefights in this area. Fighting continues in the areas of Stepova Novoselivka, Pishchane, and Berestove.

In the Lyman sector, the aggressor attacked seven times near Torske, Terny, Hrekivka, and Nevske. Combat continues in the area of Serebriansky forest. The enemy struck there with six multiple rocket launchers.

In the Siversk sector, the Russian aggressor is trying to push our units from their positions in the areas of Spirne, Ivan-Dariivka, and Verkhniekamianske. Ukrainian troops successfully repelled one attack, and two are still ongoing.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Ukrainian troops repelled two occupants' attacks in the vicinity of Klishchyivka and Andriivka.

In the Pokrovsk sector, the Russian aggressor maintains a high intensity of assault operations. Since the beginning of the day, the occupants have tried 15 times to improve the tactical situation near Novooleksandrivka, Yevhenivka, Sokol, Novopokrovske, Karlivka, and Yasnobrodivka. Ukrainian troops successfully repelled six enemy attacks, nine are still ongoing.

In the Kurakhove sector, the Defense Forces have already repelled nine Russian offensives near Paraskoviivka, Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, and Kostiantynivka. Another firefight is ongoing.

– Ukraine has officially denied Russian propagandists' reports that the invaders allegedly entered the village of Ryzhivka in the Sumy region. The village is under Ukrainian control.

– The ISW reported that the occupiers' command is redeploying an unspecified number of forces to the border with the Kharkiv region of Ukraine. It is not yet clear whether they plan to immediately use them for combat operations in this area or simply to strengthen the Northern Group of Forces to bring it closer to its planned final strength.
