General Staff: Russian army does not abandon attempts to encircle Avdiivka, AFU firmly holds the defense and inflicts significant losses on the enemy

Russian troops are continuing their attempts to surround and capture Avdiivka in the Donetsk region. On November 10, the defenders repelled 35 enemy attacks in the Avdiivka direction alone, with a total of 87 combat engagements over the day.

However, Ukrainian soldiers are steadfastly holding the line and inflicting significant losses in manpower and equipment on the enemy. The situation at the front was described in the morning report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Russian troops continued to attack both the positions of Ukrainian soldiers in various frontline areas and civilian settlements in Ukraine. Over the day, the enemy launched 5 missile and 83 air strikes, firing from multiple launch rocket systems 102 times.

In addition, Russian troops used 2 X-59 guided missiles, an Oniks anti-ship missile, an S-300 anti-aircraft guided missile, an X-31 guided missile and 31 Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs to strike Ukraine. Air defense destroyed one X-59 missile and 19 attack drones.

Residential buildings, port infrastructure, road transport and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged as a result of enemy strikes.

Petropavlivka and Chervonyi Stav in the Kharkiv region; Novoyehorivka and Serebryansky forestry in the Luhansk region; Spirne, Verkhniokamianske, Klishchiivka, Siversk, Arkhanhelske, Keramik, Berdychi, Avdiivka, Marinka, Novomykhailivka, Vuhledar, Storozheve, Staromaiorske and Urozhayne in the Donetsk region; Novodanylivka in the Zaporizhzhia region; Ivanivka and Beryslav in the Kherson region were hit by air strikes.

More than 110 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions came under artillery fire.

As for the situation in different frontline areas, the operational situation remains unchanged in the area of responsibility of the North Joint Forces Operation Center in the Volyn and Polissia directions.

The enemy still maintains a military presence in the border areas in the Siversk and Slobozhansk directions, as well as conducts active sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of our troops to threatened areas, increasing the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.

The enemy tried to attack In the east in the area of responsibility of the Khortytsia Joint Forces Operation Center.

Russian invaders, supported by aviation, conducted assault operations in the areas of Synkivka, northeast of Petropavlivka and Ivanivka in the Kharkiv region and Stelmakhivka in the Luhansk region in the Kupiansk direction: our defenders repelled 8 attacks there.

The enemy, supported by aviation, conducted assault operations near Novoyehorivka, Nevske and Serebryansky forestry in the Luhansk region in the Lyman direction but failed.

The situation in the Bakhmut direction was also hot yesterday: Ukrainian troops repelled 16 attacks by the occupants near Ivanivske, Klishchiivka and Andriivka in the Donetsk region.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue their assault operations south of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region, inflicting losses on the enemy in manpower and equipment, as well as consolidating their positions.

Fierce fighting is also taking place in the area of responsibility of the Tavria Brigade, particularly in the Avdiivka direction. The enemy is using aviation to try to encircle Avdiivka. Our soldiers are steadfastly holding the line and inflicting significant losses on the enemy.

Over the past day alone, Ukrainian defenders repelled 35 attacks in this area east of Novokalynove, Stepove, Avdiivka and Severne and south of Tonenke and Pervomaiske in the Donetsk region.

Fierce fighting continues in the Marinka direction. There, the invaders, supported by aviation, conducted assault operations in the areas of Marinka and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region: Ukrainian defense forces repelled 18 enemy attacks.

The enemy, supported by aviation, conducted unsuccessful assault operations near Staromaiorske, Donetsk region, in the Shakhtarsk direction.

The Ukrainian south remains hot too.

The enemy conducted an assault near Robotyno in the Zaporizhzhia direction but was unsuccessful. The Ukrainian Defense Forces continued to advance in the Melitopol direction instead, inflicting losses on the occupation forces in manpower and equipment, as well as depleting the enemy along the entire front line.

Our soldiers are engaged in counter-battery combat in the area of responsibility of the Odesa Joint Forces Operation Center in the Kherson direction, firing at the enemy's rear.

Over the past day, the aviation of the Defense Forces carried out 11 strikes on the areas of concentration of enemy personnel, weapons and military equipment.

Missile units destroyed 8 artillery pieces, a command post, 4 areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, an air defense facility, an ammunition depot and 4 enemy electronic warfare stations.

The day before, Ukrainian soldiers thinned out the Russian army by 1,130 occupants per day, and the defenders "demilitarized" 176 units of enemy weapons and equipment.

Meanwhile, the invaders attacked Ukraine with drones and missiles at night. The Air Force destroyed 19 enemy UAVs out of 31 launched. Air defense was operating in Odesa, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kropyvnytskyi and Kyiv regions.
