General Staff: AFU repelled enemy attacks near Marinka and Staromaiorske, 66 military clashes occurred on the front during the day

The Russian occupation army continues to use its inherent terror tactics and shells civilian objects in our country. The enemy is firing at Ukrainian civilians from multiple launch rocket systems, as well as launching missile and air strikes.

Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in deaths and injuries among the civilian population. This is stated in the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of the morning of November 4.

"In total, the enemy launched 2 missile and 62 air strikes, as well as fired 77 times from multiple rocket launchers at the positions of our troops and settlements. There were 66 combat engagements on the frontline yesterday.

The following localities came under air strike: Novoselivka, Petropavlivka, Novoosynove, Pishchane and Proletarske in the Kharkiv region; Nadiia, Serebriansky Forestry in the Luhansk region; Serebrianka, Siversk, Khromove, Klishchiivka, Oleksandropil, Novokalynove, Berdychi, Novoselivka Persha, Avdiivka, Orlivka, Marinka, Novomykhailivka, Vodiane, Vuhledar, Zolota Niva and Staromaiorske in the Donetsk region. More than 110 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions came under artillery fire.

The operational situation in the area of responsibility of the North operational and strategic grouping of troops in the Volyn and Polissia directions remains without significant changes.

The enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas in the Siversk and Slobozhansk directions, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of our troops to threatened areas, and increases the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.

The enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations near Sinkivka and Ivanivka in the Kharkiv region and Stelmakhivka in the Luhansk region In the area of responsibility of the Khortytsia operational and strategic grouping of troops in the Kupiansk direction. Our defenders repelled about 10 enemy attacks here.

The enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations near Verkhnekamianske in the Donetsk region in the Lyman direction.

The enemy unsuccessfully tried to regain the lost ground near Klishchyivka in the Bakhmut direction, where our defenders repelled about 10 attacks. The enemy also conducted unsuccessful assault operations in the areas of Bohdanivka and Khromove in the Donetsk region. In turn, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue assault operations south of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the enemy, and consolidating their positions.

The enemy, supported by aviation, does not stop making attempts to surround Avdiivka In the area of responsibility of the Tavria operational and strategic group of troops in the Avdiivka direction. Our soldiers are steadfastly holding the line and inflicting significant losses on the occupiers. Thus, the enemy's offensive actions in the areas of Stepove, Tonenke, Avdiivka, Severne and Pervomaiske in the Donetsk region were unsuccessful. The Defense Forces repelled about 20 enemy attacks there.

The enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations in the area of Marinka and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region In the Marinka direction, where Ukrainian troops repelled about 20 enemy attacks.

The enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations near Staromaiorske, Donetsk region, in the Shakhtarsk direction.

The enemy unsuccessfully tried to regain lost ground near Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhya region in the Zaporizhzhia direction.

At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continued to conduct an offensive in the Melitopol direction, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, and depleting the enemy along the entire front line.

Our soldiers are conducting counter-battery combat and inflicting fire on the enemy's rear in the area of responsibility of the Odesa operational and strategic grouping of troops in the Kherson direction.

Yesterday, the aviation of the Defense Forces carried out 9 strikes on areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment and 2 strikes on enemy anti-aircraft missile systems.

Missile troops hit 7 areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, an electronic warfare station, a radar station, 2 ammunition depots, and 10 enemy artillery pieces.

As a reminder, Russian troops made some progress near Avdiivka, advancing to the railroad near Krasnohorivka village. The occupants are currently regrouping and preparing for the third wave of attacks in the Avdiivka direction.

Earlier, the former commander of the U.S. Armed Forces in Europe, retired Lieutenant General Ben Hodges, admitted that he was mistaken about the timing of Ukraine's liberation of Crimea as he predicted that it could happen in the summer of 2023.
