France plans to train 7000 Ukrainian troops by end of year - Associated Press

France plans to train 7,000 Ukrainian soldiers by the end of this year. This will take place as part of the European Union's mission to provide military assistance to our country, which began a year ago.

This was reported by the Associated Press. Some of the military will be trained in Poland, others in France.

Initially, the EU planned to train 15 thousand soldiers. However, now the number has been increased to 35 thousand.

Almost all EU member states have joined the training.

In addition, the United States has trained about 18,000 soldiers. The exercises were mostly held in Germany. Currently, another 1000 people are undergoing training.

In the UK, 30,000 Ukrainian soldiers have undergone military training.

In addition to basic weapons training and first aid, soldiers are taught special military know-how.

This way, the Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters acquire a variety of skills, including equipment repair.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, the Netherlands recently announced that the first five F-16s would be sent to Romania to the Fătesti air base to train Ukrainian pilots.

Prior to that, the Ukrainian Armed Forces pilots began training on F-16s in the United States at the Morris National Guard Air Base in Tucson.

Meanwhile, in a high-profile article, Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Valeriy Zaluzhny said that the occupiers had strengthened their air defense and that F-16s might now be less useful.
