The Russian terrorist army continues to concentrate its main efforts in the Kupyansk, Liman, Bakhmut, Avdeevsk and Mariinsk directions. Over the past 24 hours, there were 26 engagements in these sectors of the front, with Bakhmut and Marinka remaining in the epicenter of hostilities.

During May 23, the enemy conducted 41 air strikes and 53 rocket launchers. Civilians were injured, and private homes and other civil and administrative infrastructure were destroyed and damaged. The likelihood of missile and air strikes throughout Ukraine remains high. This was stated in a summary of the General Staff of the AFU on the morning of May 24.

The situation in the Volyn and Polissya sectors remained unchanged.

On the Siversky and Slobozhansky directions, the enemy launched an air strike near Dovzhanka, fired mortar and artillery shells at Khrinivka, Yeline and Hremyach in Chernihiv region, as well as at Gudove, Vovkivka, Bunyakyne, Stukalivka, Volfyno, Novomykolaivka, Ryasne and Velyka Pysarivka in Sumy region, as well as Stohnii, Udy, Strilecha, Hlyboke, Morokhovets, Liptsi, Neskuchne, Ohirtseve, Hatyshche, Pletenivka, Vovchansk, Varvarovka, Nesterne, Budarky and Zemlianky in Kharkiv region.

In the Kupyansk sector, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensives in the vicinity of Masiutivka. He carried out air strikes near Kyslivka and Kotlyarivka. Kamyanka, Topoly, Krasne Pershe, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Masiutivka, Mala Shapkivka, Kindrashivka, Kupyansk, Tabaivka and Berestove in Kharkiv region and Stelmakhivka in Luhansk region came under artillery and mortar fire.

In the Lyman sector, the enemy conducted offensive actions in the direction of Bilohorivka, but was unsuccessful. He also conducted an air strike there. Nevske and Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region and Torske and Spirne in the Donetsk region came under artillery fire.

In the Bakhmut sector, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensives in the direction of Khromove over the course of the day. He carried out air strikes in the areas of Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Bila Hora, Ozaryanivka and Toretsk. Kramatorsk, Vasyukivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Hryhorivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Stupochki, Kostyantynivka, Bila Hora, Toretsk, Pivnichne, Pivdenne and New York in Donetsk region suffered from enemy shelling.

In the Avdiivka sector, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensives in the direction of Pervomaiske. He carried out air strikes in the areas of Novokalynove and Avdiivka. Keramik, Ocheretyne, Lastochkino, Avdiivka, Severne, Vodiane, Pervomayske, Netaylove, Karlivka and Nevelske in the Donetsk region came under fire.

In the Mariinka sector, numerous enemy attacks were repelled in the vicinity of the town of Mariinka. Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Maksymilianivka, Kurakhove and Pobeda in the Donetsk region also came under enemy fire.

In the Shakhtarsk sector, the enemy launched an air strike near Prechystivka and fired at Paraskoviivka, Novomykhailivka, Vuhledar, Bohoyavlenka, Zolota Niva and Velyka Novosilka.

Occupants are defending themselves in the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson sectors. Enemy air strikes were recorded on the settlements of Gulyaypole, Mala Tokmachka and Stepove in Zaporizhzhia region, as well as shelling of Vremivka, Burlatske, Novosilka, Zelenoye Pole in Donetsk region; Olgivske, Gulyaypole, Zaliznychne, Bilohirya, Mala Tokmachka, Mali Shcherbaky and Kamianske in Zaporizhzhia region. Zolota Balka, Vesele, Kozatske, Lvov, Antonivka, Kizomys, Stanislav in Kherson region and the city of Kherson also came under enemy artillery fire.

Over the last day, the aviation of the Defense Forces carried out 15 strikes on the areas of concentration of enemy personnel and military equipment, 3 of which were against anti-aircraft missile systems.

Over the past day, our troops destroyed an enemy Ka-52 attack and reconnaissance helicopter, 4 Shahed attack UAVs and 1 Zala reconnaissance drone.

Missile and artillery units hit 3 control points, 4 areas of concentration of weapons and military equipment, 1 ammunition depot, 2 artillery units at firing positions and 3 other important enemy targets.

As a reminder, Ukrainian servicemen continue to conduct counterattacks on the flanks of Bakhmut, Donetsk region . In the city itself, the Russian terrorist troops may have advanced insignificantly.
