Explosives experts detect and neutralise Russian Tochka-U missile in Kherson region. Video

The Russian occupation forces are using all their weapons potential to attack Ukraine. Thus, in the Kherson region, a Russian Tochka-U missile was discovered lying in a field near one of the settlements.

It was transported away from crowded places and defused. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine on Facebook (to watch the video, scroll to the end of the page).

The Tochka-U found in the field did not detonate, and its warhead weighing 482 kg remained intact. Given the angle at which the missile hit the ground, it was possible to establish that the enemy launched it at Kherson region from the temporarily occupied territory (the missile has a range of up to 120 km).

"The missile found is a part of the Soviet-era Tochka-U missile with a warhead in the form of a modified aircraft bomb," the Interior Ministry said.

The blast wave from the explosion of this missile would have been very strong, so it was impossible to destroy it on the spot. In addition, the situation was complicated by the fact that the enemy Tochka-U was located near important communication lines.

To neutralise it as safely as possible, law enforcement officers transported the missile and buried its warhead in a pit. This was done to ensure that the soil took the brunt of the detonation and that the fragments did not fly over a long distance after the explosion.

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, Russian occupation forces shelled Kherson and the region's settlements on the morning of 11 August. At least five civilians in the region were injured as a result of the war criminals' actions.
