Explosions were heard in Odesa

On the evening of Sunday, November 5, several large explosions were heard in Odesa. Russian occupation forces launched missiles at the city. The enemy attack resulted in injuries and damage.

According to an OBOZ.UA correspondent, the explosions were heard around 21:00. At that time, an air alert was declared in the south of Ukraine. The Ukrainian Air Force warned of a missile threat to Odesa region and Odesa in particular.

"Attention! Missile in the direction of Odesa!" the message read.

The monitoring channel"Mykolaiv Vanek" reported that, according to preliminary data, the occupiers attacked Odesa with an Iskander-M ballistic missile. The launch of a Kh-59 missile from tactical aircraft was also recorded.

At 21:18, the air force reported the movement of a group of enemy Shahed UAVs from the Black Sea in the direction of Odesa. Oleh Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, called on Telegram to call on residents of Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi and Odesa districts to stay in shelters and not to disrupt air defense operations.

Later he clarified that five people were injured as a result of the night attack on Odesa by the Russian occupiers, with shrapnel wounds.

"Everyone is hospitalized, our doctors are providing all the necessary assistance," he wrote.

Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov said that the Russian attack caused serious damage to the building of the Art Museum, according to Suspilne.

"A little bit there, a little bit here, and we could have lost many of our samples, exhibits that are very famous all over the world. Fortunately, this did not happen," Trukhanov said.

He added that in the morning the district administration would work to help people whose homes were damaged by the Russian attack.

"Our district administration will be working in the morning to draw up documents to help everyone who has suffered here. The roof of a residential building has been damaged, we will make a survey and restore it, because we are going into winter. The situation is not easy now because the water supply system is damaged, and the pressure is quite high. The situation is under control, but it requires a very thorough examination to be sure that everything is fine," added the mayor.

At around 21:50, explosions were heard in Odesa again. The head of the Public Council at the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Bratchuk, reported on Telegram that air defense soldiers were shooting down enemy attack drones over the city.

Monitoring channels wrote that at least two groups of UAVs were heading for Odesa.

It should be noted that on the afternoon of November 5, explosions were heard in Odesa, Dnipro, and Kirovohrad regions. An infrastructure facility was hit in Odesa region. Three people were injured.

The enemy attacked Odesa district with a Kh-31P anti-radar missile.

As OBOZ.UA reported, on the night of November 3, the occupiers launched kamikaze drones in Odesa region. Natalia Gumenyuk, a representative of the South military command, said that the defenders of our skies shot down two Shahed 136s, but also hit an infrastructure facility.
