Explosions occurred in Kryvyi Rih and Kropyvnytskyi during air raid alert

On New Year's Eve, December 31, explosions occurred in Kryvyi Rih and Kropyvnytskyi. Prior to that, an air raid was declared in Ukraine due to the takeoff of a MiG-31K, which is a carrier of the X-47M2 Kinzhal missile.

The sounds of explosions in the cities were reported by local Telegram channels. There has been no official information about them so far.

As a reminder, on December 23, there were also explosions in Kryvyi Rih that were related to the work of air defense. Defenders shot down enemy drones over the city.

On the same day, Kremlin terrorists attacked Kirovohrad region with missiles. The enemy's massive missile attack was repelled by air defense forces, but the fragments of the downed missiles damaged roofs, fences and cars in Kropyvnytskyi and Oleksandriia districts.

On December 31, the occupiers also launched dozens of Shahed-type kamikaze attack drones into Ukraine. This time, most of the UAVs attacked the frontline areas. Thanks to the effective work of air defense, 21 drones out of 49 launched were shot down.

- The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine spoke about the possibility of another massive Russian attack on New Year's Eve. He noted that Ukrainians should always expect trouble from the aggressor country.

- On December 31, during another Russian drone attack on Ukraine, Iranian-designed Shahed UAVs flew into the Khmelnytsky region. A fire broke out at a critical infrastructure facility in the region.
